Phosphonates
Certain Ethyleneamines can react with Formaldehyde and Phosphorous Acid to form Phosphonates.
The most known Phosphonates are EDTMP (EthyleneDiaminoMethylenePhosphonic acid) and DTPMP (DiethyleneTriaminePentaMethylenePhosphonic acid). Because of their sequestering capacity Phosphonates are applicable
in many fields such as: household powder detergents, liquid detergents, industrial water treatment and corrosion inhibitors.
The following Delamine Ethyleneamines are appropriate for use in Phosphonates:
  • Ethylenediamine
  • (EDA)
  • Diethylenetriamine
  • (DETA)
