Bitumen Chemicals
The anti-stripping agent or emulsifier is made from a fatty acid and an Ethyleneamine to yield the amidoamine or imidazoline. The anti-stripping agent promotes the adhesion between aggregate and bitumen. The emulsifiers are used to prepare bitumen emulsions in water.
The following Delamine Ethyleneamines are appropriate for use in Bitumen Chemicals:
  • Diethylenetriamine
  • (DETA)
  • N-Aminoethylpiperazine
  • (N-AEP)
  • Triethylenetetramine
  • (TETA)
  • Tetraethylenepentamine
  • (TEPA)
  • Pentaethylenehexamine
  • (PEHA)
  • Higher Ethylenepolyamines
  • (HEPA)
